Bus / Minibus
The fastest and most common option. Around 2 hours from Kraków bus station to Zakopane, with departures throughout the day. Cheap, easy to book online in advance.
Train
Direct trains from Kraków Główny to Zakopane. Takes around 3–
3.5 hours. Slower but more scenic if you’re not in a hurry.

I’ve been to Zakopane in winter but we decided to try summer, turns out it was even better! Hikes were epic and the Zakopane Summer team was really helpful and welcoming. Only stayed for 3 days, but we got a lot out of the trip so at least i have something to look forward to for next time. The Koscieliska caves were a highlight.

Which hike should I pick?
For families, children and those who want an easier hike, Rosinowa Polana and Mt Nosal are perfect picks. The hike to the famous Morskie Oko is one of the most iconic trails in Poland. Kościeliska Valley offers a longer, more varied route, for a hike of a moderate difficulty. If you’re not sure which to pick just send us a message and we’ll help you choose!
Which spa should I pick?
When it comes to sheer size and variety of amenities, Chochalowska is the undisputed champion. But if you’re looking for a more intimate (and affordable) option – Szaflary might be your pick.
What should I bring?
Comfortable hiking shoes, layers for the mountains (it can be cooler at high altitude even in summer), water, and snacks. Your guide will confirm anything specific for your route. For the thermal baths, bring swimwear and a towel (or rent at the spa).
Is this suitable for families with children?
Zakopane is a whimsical town, welcoming to any age group. Most of our hikes are easy, with plenty of stops along the way to accommodate your needs as a private group. Both thermal baths have children’s areas and ammenities, making this day perfect for families with kids.
