Explore both parts of the Tatra Mountains — the Polish side and the Slovak High Tatras in one trip
Everything arranged — accommodation, guided activities, transfers, meals, and Kraków airport pickup
Guided hikes in the Tatra National Park, river rafting, ATV safaris, and a medieval castle visit
Private local guides on both sides of the border — with mountain rescue insurance included
A proper Tatra Mountains holiday: five days, two countries, and the best of what both sides of the Tatra range have to offer. You start in Zakopane on the Polish side with ATV adventures, thermal baths, and the buzz of Poland's most famous mountain town. Then you cross into Slovakia for guided hikes to stunning glacier lakes, adventurous canyon trails, traditional Slovak dinners, and a visit to one of Europe's most impressive medieval castles.
The trip is available in two versions — Easy and Moderate — so you can match the intensity to your group. Both include accommodation (our mountain chalets in Zakopane, then a privately owned B&B in Poprad, Slovakia), all transfers including Kraków airport, private guides, mountain rescue insurance, and most activities. You choose the level, we handle the res.
The Tatra Mountains are unique in Europe — a compact, dramatic alpine range shared between Poland and Slovakia, with different landscapes, cultures, and traditions on each side. Most visitors only see one half. This trip gives you both — from the market square of Zakopane to the high alpine lakes of the Slovak Tatras — in a single, seamlessly organised week.
Arrive at your mountain chalet in Zakopane. Explore the town centre and the famous Krupówki market square, ride the funicular train for panoramic views, and end the day unwinding at the local thermal baths.
Get your adrenaline pumping with a guided ATV safari through the Tatra foothills — muddy trails, steep inclines, and incredible mountain views. In the evening, enjoy a traditional highlander experience in Zakopane.
Transfer from Zakopane across the border into Slovakia. Experience traditional wooden raft punting or whitewater rafting through the spectacular Pieniny National Park gorge — towering limestone cliffs on both sides and crystal-clear water below.
Evening: optional thermal baths at AquaCity Poprad (5 min walk from your accommodation)
A guided hike through the Slovak side of the Tatra National Park with your private mountain guide. Easy trails with stunning high-alpine scenery, lunch at a traditional mountain hut, and views you won’t forget.
Evening: authentic Slovak dinner at a local restaurant
Visit Spiš Castle — one of the largest castle complexes in Central Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the ruins, take in the views over the Spiš region, then transfer to Kraków airport for your late flight home.
Arrive at your mountain chalet in Zakopane. Settle in, explore the town, visit the market square, and get a feel for the Polish mountain culture.
A full day of activities in Zakopane — ATV safari, thermal baths, guided walks, or whatever you’d like. In the evening, transfer across the border to your accommodation in Poprad, Slovakia, ready for an early start the next morning.
A moderate guided hike to one of the most stunning glacier lakes in the High Tatra range — turquoise water surrounded by dramatic peaks. Lunch at a mountain hut with views you’ll want to frame.
Evening: optional thermal baths at AquaCity Poprad
One of the most unique hiking experiences in Europe. Traverse narrow gorges on metal ladders and chains, climb alongside waterfalls, and scramble through forested canyons in Slovak Paradise National Park. It’s moderate in difficulty but feels like a proper adventure.
Evening: authentic Slovak dinner at a local restaurant
Your final morning — an e-bike tour through the scenic Slovak countryside with Tatra Mountain views as your backdrop. A relaxed way to end the trip before your late transfer to Kraków airport.
One of our Zakopane mountain chalets. Private room with ensuite, mountain views, and easy access to the town centre and all activities.
Privately owned bed and breakfast near the medieval part of town. Private room with ensuite. A 5-minute walk to AquaCity thermal baths and local restaurants.
The Easy itinerary requires only basic fitness. The hikes are gentle and the pace is relaxed. The Moderate itinerary involves longer hikes with some scrambling (ladders and chains in Slovak Paradise), but nothing technical. If you can walk comfortably for 4-5 hours, you’ll be fine.
Fly into Kraków (KRK). We can arrange airport transfers to Zakopane for your arrival. The return transfer from Slovakia to Kraków airport on Day 5 is included in the package.
Trips run in May, June, September, and October — the best months for hiking and outdoor activities in the Tatra Mountains. Exact dates are flexible and confirmed when you book.
Yes. Your accommodation in Poprad is a 5-minute walk from AquaCity thermal baths. Entry is optional and not included in the package price, but we highly recommend it after a day of hiking.
Kościeliska Valley caves (such as Mroźna ‘’Frosty’’ Cave) usually maintain a temperature between 0-5 C. It’s advisable to come prepared with an extra layer or two.
