Bus / Minibus
The fastest and most common option. Around 2 hours from Kraków bus station to Zakopane, with departures throughout the day. Cheap, easy to book online in advance.
Train
Direct trains from Kraków Główny to Zakopane. Takes around 3-3.5 hours. Slower but more scenic if you’re not in a hurry. Easy to book online.

I’ve been to Zakopane in winter but we decided to try summer, turns out it was even better! Hikes were epic and the Zakopane Summer team was really helpful and welcoming. Only stayed for 3 days, but we got a lot out of the trip so at least i have something to look forward to for next time. The Koscieliska caves were a highlight.

What's the difference between shared and private?
During your Krakow to Zakopane day trip you can choose a private ATV safari – with only your group present. Alternatively, you can choose a more social option and join a mixed group with strangers. Organizing a private safari require an extra fee.
Do I need ATV experience?
None required. Safety briefing and instructions on how to drive the machine are provided on the day.
Which spa should I pick?
When it comes to sheer size and variety of amenities, Chochalowska is the undisputed champion. But if you’re looking for a more intimate (and affordable) option – Szaflary might be your pick.
Is this suitable for families with children?
Yes! Kids can ride on the back of an ATV with adults, or have their own machine, depending on age. Both thermal complexes have their own children’s areas.
